A law firm is seeking a Business Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Des Moines, IA. This position offers the opportunity to practice in all phases of general commercial, civil, and business litigation matters with a national and international client base.

Job Overview:

• Practice in all phases of general commercial, civil, and business litigation matters.
• Serve a diverse range of national and international clients.

Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation proceedings, including court appearances, motions practice, and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client management.
• Participate in client meetings, depositions, and negotiations.
• Assist with business development efforts and client outreach initiatives.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience out of law school, preferably with recent clerkship or law firm experience.
• Excellent academic credentials demonstrating strong performance in law school.
• Active membership in the Iowa Bar.
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail, writing, and analytical skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Iowa Bar.
