The role is responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex supplier agreements in the technology categories to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with Oracle's legal guidelines and procurement policy. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience negotiating legal terms in technology contracts, as well as a deep expertise in negotiating Software, Cloud Computing, Saas, PaaS, IaaS, and Technology Consulting agreements. Job Title: Lead Contracts Analyst / Contract Negotiator Salary Information: Hiring Range: from $87,000 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity. Job Location: Rocklin, CA or Austin, TX Experience: 6 to 10+ years Job Type: Regular Employee Responsibilities: - Review, draft and negotiate complex supplier agreements in the technology categories to mitigate Oracle’s risk and ensure compliance with Oracle legal guidelines and procurement policy with minimal managerial oversight or intervention. - Collaborate with lines of business to understand unique contract requirements to meet the business needs. - Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met. - Validate all aspects of supplier agreements for accuracy and compliance with Oracle’s business practices and internal approvals. - Draft executive approval requests for key legal clauses. - Prepare contract status reports and complete contract log processing. Qualifications: - Extensive contracts knowledge and negotiation skills, including contract construction. - Deep expertise and experience negotiating Software, Cloud Computing, Saas, PaaS, IaaS and Technology Consulting agreements. - 5-8 years complex contracting experience with an emphasis on negotiating legal terms (including but not limited to, indemnification, intellectual property, limitation of liability, confidential information, data privacy, termination, license grant) in technology contracts. - Legal Education or background highly desirable, JD preferred. - Excellent micro and macro analytical and communication (both written and verbal) skills. - Organized, meticulous, concise and precise method of operation. - Refined time management and project management skills. - Excellent research & problem solving skills. - Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment under high stress and time critical deadlines. - Excellent customer service attitude. - Ability to work effectively in team environment. - Ability to build relationships with, and influence individuals, both up and down the organizational hierarchy. - Ability to deal with potentially confrontational situations with patience, diplomacy and tact.
