EY's Business Tax Advisory (BTA) - Federal Tax Advisory (FTA) practice:
- Offers cutting edge solutions to some of the world's largest organizations
- Works with middle market and private companies
- Solve problems and add value in a complex post-tax reform environment

Opportunity:
- Work on complex tax issues and develop effective tax strategies
- Focus on managing the impact of tax on clients' business
- Identify cash tax savings and refund opportunities
- Work on areas such as FDII, BEAT, GILTI planning, R&D credits, and more

Key responsibilities:
- Interact with clients and support project management activities
- Analyze client data and prepare relevant analyses
- Collaborate with firm subject matter professionals
- Provide guidance and direction to associates
- Deliver client engagements and work with managers and partners to serve clients and develop people

Skills and attributes for success:
- Facilitate delivery of effective approaches to clients' tax needs
- Apply critical thinking to identify new business opportunities
- Assist in executing client engagements
- Provide timely and high-quality tax research and analysis
- Proactively manage projects and deliverables

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field and approximately six years of related work experience OR graduate degree and approximately five years of related work experience
- Valid US Enrolled Agent, CPA, or licensed attorney designation
- Experience with tax research and analysis
- Ability to analyze large datasets
- Good managerial, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, and data mining tools
- Willingness to travel and work in a hybrid environment

Ideally, you'll also have:
- Familiarity or experience in IRS tax controversy and statistical sampling
- Experience with data analytics and visual tools
- Big 4 comparable experience
- Certifications in Alteryx or Microsoft products
- Advanced degree
