Paralegal - Full Time Position in Alameda, California

In this role, you will work closely with other paralegals and attorneys in the Commercial Legal Department, providing legal services and support to help achieve business objectives and manage legal risks for the corporation.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare commercial agreements, including contracts & pricing, procurement, and confidential disclosure agreements
- Communicate legal advice to businesses and manage legal risks for the corporation
- Identify legal issues and perform legal work in areas of responsibility
- Resolve routine legal matters with supervision from senior paralegals and/or attorneys
- Develop knowledge of Abbott's business and client areas
- Keep up to date with changes in laws that affect client areas
- Support senior paralegals and attorneys on legal agreements and other tasks as assigned
- Maintain agreements in document management systems
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with basic laws related to applicable areas of responsibility
- Experience reviewing agreements/contracts and interpreting information from various sources
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with high work standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
