Job Title: Trademark And Copyright Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Trademark And Copyright Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-4 years of experience. The ideal candidate should be passionate about intellectual property (IP) and brand protection, possess a can-do positive attitude, and be eager to work on, and eventually lead, cases from inception to resolution.

Duties:

• Prepare complaints and answers for federal court proceedings related to trademark and copyright litigation.
• Conduct discovery and document review processes efficiently.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, both taking and defending.
• Conduct research and draft various motions, including discovery motions, motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, Daubert motions, and motions in limine.
• Handle proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
• Provide support and assistance in trademark prosecution matters.
• Assist in domain name proceedings as needed.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in trademark and copyright litigation.
• Familiarity with federal court procedures and practices.
• Proficiency in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
• Licensed and in good standing with the DC Bar, or ability to waive into the DC Bar.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC.
