A law firm in Baltimore is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with a strong background in estate planning. The successful candidate will participate in building the existing practice, engage in significant client contact, and have the opportunity to move into a leadership role in the long term. The ideal applicant will possess an exemplary academic record, exceptional writing and analytical skills, and a Juris Doctorate or better in Law.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and guidance on estate planning matters to clients.
  • Draft wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to tax and estate planning issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with clients regarding their estate planning needs.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations relevant to estate planning.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate or better in Law from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in estate planning.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
