Allient Inc. is a global publicly traded company with over 2200 employees at 26 locations in 11 countries. We are currently seeking a Senior Corporate Attorney to join our growing team and provide legal support and guidance to our business units. This is a full-time regular position in Buffalo, NY, with a salary range of $125, to $150, annually.

Responsibilities:

? Negotiate, draft, and interpret various types of government and commercial contracts
? Develop internal policies and procedures for contract review process
? Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal laws
? Collaborate with internal and external teams to facilitate decision-making
? Review and revise internal contract review policies and procedures
? Protect intellectual property rights through drafting and negotiating contractual provisions
? Organize and maintain Allient's intellectual property portfolio
? Provide legal advice to business teams
? Drive a culture of compliance
? Administer government contracts/subcontracts
? Provide training on contract and risk best practices
? May manage and supervise junior attorneys and contract specialists

Minimum Qualifications:

? Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
? Licensed in New York State to practice law
? At least 5 years of experience negotiating and drafting high-value commercial or government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

? Experience with intellectual property, trademark, and licensing
? Experience with corporate mergers and acquisitions
? Experience with FAR/DFAR contract provisions and government contracting process
? Ability to formulate innovative solutions to mitigate legal risk
? Strategic and creative thinker
? Genuine and approachable personality
? Team-oriented approach
? Ability to adjust to shifting priorities

Physical Demands:

? Mostly office-based with some time spent on the production floor
? May lift and/or transport items weighing between 10 and 20 pounds

Work Environment:

? Predominantly office environment with occasional exposure to the production floor
? May be subjected to moving mechanical parts and required to wear protective gear
? Some travel may be required
