Vanguard is seeking an experienced attorney to join their Enterprise Legal Services Team as an Associate General Counsel specializing in antitrust and competition-related issues. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and provide strategic leadership on Vanguard's antitrust compliance program and strategy. You will also provide legal advice, training, and counseling to business leaders, and ensure compliance with policies and practices. Additionally, you will represent Vanguard in legal proceedings and maintain a high level of expertise in antitrust law and the asset management industry.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as a trusted advisor and provide strategic leadership and positioning on Vanguard's antitrust and competition-related issues
- Work closely with other senior leaders in OGC to shape Vanguard's antitrust compliance program and strategy
- Provide business leaders with antitrust related legal advice, training, and counseling, and ensure compliance with policies and practices
- Support Vanguard's response to government reviews regarding mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures and proposed regulations
- Represent the organization in complex, controversial, significant, or specialized legal proceedings
- Select outside counsel and manage, coordinate, oversee, and supervise their work
- Maintain a high level of expertise in antitrust law, Vanguard's business and products, and the asset management industry
- Stay abreast of industry and regulatory developments and maintain affiliations with relevant associations
- Demonstrate leadership and initiative in the Office of the General Counsel
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Minimum ten years related legal work experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Law degree (JD) required
- Demonstrated persuasion and influencing capabilities
- Ability to balance business and legal needs and manage multiple projects
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and communicating with senior leaders
- Knowledge of antitrust law and the asset management industry
