Job Summary:
As a Senior Associate in our National Tax Services Exempt Organizations team, you will be responsible for assisting our clients in achieving measurable results. This may include advising on obtaining and preserving tax-exempt status, identifying planning opportunities, structuring revenue generating activities, and ensuring compliance with income, excise, and employment tax requirements. You will also have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and develop a deep understanding of tax issues in various industries.

Responsibilities:
• Use feedback and reflection to develop self awareness, personal strengths and address development areas.
• Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities, coaching them to deliver results.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems.
• Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends.
• Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance.
• Know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice.
• Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives.
• Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others.
• Able to read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships.
• Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for not-for-profit organizations.
• Bachelor's degree required, with preferred Juris Doctorate.
• Knowledge of exempt organization tax issues, tax compliance and consulting, and experience with various Forms including 990, 990 PF, 1120, 1065, and 1040.
• Programming experience in SAS or an equivalent statistical software package.
• Certification(s) preferred: CPA, Enrolled Agent or Member of the Bar.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for client engagements.
