The attorney will play a crucial role in handling a diverse range of patent prosecution matters in the biological, biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical fields. This position involves working with quality domestic and foreign clients, requiring expertise in chemical or biotech prosecution, PTAB post-grant proceedings, and providing legal opinions.

Duties:

  • Manage and prosecute patent applications in biology, biotechnology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals.
  • Conduct legal research, and analysis, and provide opinions on patent matters.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and assist in developing patent strategies.
  • Participate in PTAB post-grant proceedings and provide support in related legal activities.
  • Stay abreast of changes in patent laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in chemical or biotech prosecution, PTAB post-grant proceedings, and/or opinion work.
  • Registration to practice before the USPTO.
  • An advanced degree in biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, organic chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field (strongly preferred).

Education:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or .) in biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, organic chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field (strongly preferred).

Certifications:

  • Registration to practice before the USPTO.

Skills:
