Title IX Hearing Officer? Attorney
The candidate will interact regularly with campus constituents regarding their internal policies and procedures. Conduct neutral, procedurally?proper sexual misconduct Hearings. Serve as a decision?maker in K?12 sexual harassment matters. Draft detailed hearing decisions, and correspondence. Conduct hearings from intake to completion. Review, interpret, analyze and evaluate witness statements, documents, and physical evidence. Review, summarize, create and organize legal documents and information. Receive ongoing training and mentorship; and Perform other duties as appropriate to the skill, experience, and education level of the needs of the Firm. Must have 2+ years of experience practicing law. Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills are essential to this position. Experience with Title IX matters at either the K?12 or higher education level is desirable, but not required. Strong interpersonal and neutral interviewing skills; strong writing skills; self?motivated; collaborative and team?oriented; flexible; dependable; detail?oriented; focused; organized; ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines; ability to assess facts with impartiality and eliminate personal biases; and, comfortable working in a small team environment.
