Salary: $138,000 - $301,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Job Description:

- Seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager with strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and knowledge of insurance taxation matters to join Mazars USA's National Insurance Tax team.
- Mazars is a global audit, tax, and advisory organization with operations in nearly 100 countries and territories.
- The Insurance Tax practice provides tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse client base in the insurance industry, including property & casualty companies, life & health companies, reinsurers, captives, and more.
- This is a national practice with a preference for candidates located in New York, New Jersey, or Philadelphia, but the position can take place in any Mazars office in the US with flexible work options (in office, remote, or hybrid).
- Responsibilities include leading and managing tax engagements, providing tax planning and compliance services, researching and resolving tax issues, and communicating with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
- The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relevant tax experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business, a CPA certification, and a strong understanding of ASC740 and SSAP 101 for both GAAP and statutory accounting.

Qualifications:

- 8+ years of relevant tax experience in a CPA firm, professional services firm, tax consulting practice, or large insurance tax department
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business; advanced Tax degree (MST, LLM, JD) preferred
- CPA certification
- Strong technical skills in insurance taxation, ASC740, and SSAP 101
- Leadership, mentoring, and staff development abilities
- Proficiency with CCH Axcess, GoRS, and other tax-related software and technology programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed
