Main responsibilities: - Lead and manage engagements with clients to implement tax automation tools and solutions - Identify opportunities for business development and marketing within the tax automation field - Assess client tax departments and determine areas in need of automation across tax data, process, technology, and workforce - Collaborate with multiple offices within the firm to assist other business line engagement teams in delivering tax solutions - Develop training and documentation for clients during the final hand-off stage of projects - Provide ongoing maintenance and consulting support to clients post-implementation - Attend and participate in various networking opportunities throughout the . - Conduct project and process management for multiple large scale, complex projects simultaneously - Take ownership of risk mitigation and quality assurance for engagements - Communicate complex technical information to target audiences - Manage and review the work of Associates and Senior Associates - Understand and communicate clients' business requirements and expectations to staff - Travel 10-25% of the time Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Technology - 5+ years of experience with technology or tax systems - ASC 740 tax accounting, consulting, or income tax compliance experience preferred - CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent certification required - Certification in Bloomberg, Corptax, Longview, Orbitax, Thomson Reuters, Alteryx, RPA, or other analytics software preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, advanced skills preferred - Experience with Bloomberg, Oracle, Thomson Reuters, Longview, OneStream, Corptax, RPA tools, ETL tools, or visualization tools preferred - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Executive presence and strong client development/relationship-building skills - Ability to travel 10-25% of the time Salary Information: - National Range: $76,000 - $160,000 - NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $76,000 - $160,000 Join the Tax Automation & Innovation team at BDO and make a meaningful impact while advancing your career. As the Tax Manager, you will lead engagements with clients to implement tax automation tools and solutions, identify opportunities for business development and marketing, assess client tax departments, and collaborate with multiple offices within the firm to deliver tax solutions to clients. This role also includes project and process management, risk mitigation, and quality assurance, as well as managing and reviewing the work of Associates and Senior Associates. To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Technology, 5+ years of experience with technology or tax systems, and certification in CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent. Additional certifications in Bloomberg, Corptax, Longview, Orbitax, Thomson Reuters, Alteryx, RPA, or other analytics software are preferred.
