Salary Information:

Job Description:
- Meta is seeking a dynamic and passionate attorney to join their product counseling legal team
- The role will involve supporting product teams working on significant cross-Meta services and technologies for youth users
- Flexibility, collaboration, and decision-making skills are essential for this role
- The Associate General Counsel will work closely with various teams within the legal department, as well as with product, engineering, marketing, policy, and communications teams

Responsibilities:
- Support the Legal Youth STO in developing legal strategy for youth-related issues across product, litigation, regulatory, privacy, safety, compliance, and integrity
- Work with youth well-being product and engineering teams to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies
- Offer holistic legal advice on various subjects including data protection/privacy, content regulation, competition, consumer protection, data security, and global legal frameworks
- Drive high-profile and high-impact projects by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across Meta's business, policy, privacy, communications, security, and other teams
- Coordinate with public policy, communications, product management, product marketing, trust and safety, and other teams on external communications, policy development, product development, and product launches
- Maintain expertise in youth laws and regulations

Minimum Qualifications:
- . degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one . state bar
- 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney at a law firm and/or in-house
- Experience in litigation, product or regulatory counseling, consumer protection, and/or privacy
- Ability to handle projects involving different subject matters and work with cross-functional teams to drive alignment
- Experience working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, delivering practical advice under pressure and operating within ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing legal risk across multiple jurisdictions, including global youth privacy/content laws and regulations, litigation, and compliance matters
- Experience supporting a global team at a social media, digital advertising, or other technology company
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of the business, including executive and C-suite
