The Associate General Counsel, Enterprise Risk Management, Director will play a critical role in managing and advising on complex litigation and regulatory compliance for 3M. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and innovative team of legal professionals, providing support and guidance to the company and its leaders. The role requires a Juris Doctor degree and a minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, with a preference for environmental litigation experience. The Director will be responsible for managing outside counsel, advising on litigation and risk, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Enterprise Risk Management team. strategically managing complex civil and criminal litigation, including supervising outside counsel and consultants
proactively advising 3m business and legal affairs colleagues regarding litigation, regulatory compliance and company risk
contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the enterprise risk management team

to set you up for success in this role from day one, 3m requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

juris doctor degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited law school
ten (10) years of litigation practice, with environmental litigation experience preferred
trial and appellate court experience in state and federal courts, in a private, public, government or military environment
currently admitted to practice law in relevant jurisdictions or eligible to become so within 6 months
