Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our team at Albert & Mackenzie. This position offers a flexible schedule, the option to work remotely, and the opportunity to support other attorneys in handling their cases. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in California Workers' Compensation Defense, excellent communication skills, and a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reviewing workers compensation legal files and providing written status reports with analysis, actions, and recommendations
- Appearing for hearings, depositions, or trials and providing timely reporting to clients
- Handling a combination of case work and appearance coverage, depending on interest and skills

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a California Workers’ Compensation Defense attorney
- Admitted and in good standing with the State Bar of California
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to outstanding customer service
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with little supervision
- Client-focused with a track record of delivering timely, action-based results

Skills Required:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to dictate reporting
- Strong reading comprehension and data entry skills with a focus on accuracy
- Experience with Case Management Software
- Effective communication with the public, clients, and colleagues
