Job Overview:

The Junior-Mid Level Benefits Associate Attorney will be responsible for supporting benefits and compensation matters with a focus on qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of benefits experience in private practice and possess excellent writing, oral advocacy, communication, and legal analysis skills.

Duties:

  • Provide legal support for benefits and compensation matters, including qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements.
  • Assist in supporting benefits and compensation aspects of M&A transactions.
  • Handle ERISA litigation and withdrawal liability matters as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various benefits and compensation issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and memoranda.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff regarding benefits and compensation matters.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of benefits experience in private practice.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
