Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Senior-Level Digital Risk Advisory And Cybersecurity Associate Attorney focusing on proactive and reactive privacy and data protection compliance matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience, including advising on privacy and security obligations, state, federal, and international data security incident notification obligations, and defending regulatory investigations related to privacy and security.

Job Details:

• Provide legal counsel on proactive and reactive privacy and data protection compliance matters.
• Advise on data security incidents and related regulatory investigations.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations related to security.
• Defend regulatory investigations related to privacy and security.
• Demonstrate expertise in privacy and security obligations, including state, federal, and international data security incident notification obligations.
• Possess a background in litigation with a demonstrated interest in privacy and cybersecurity breach response work.
• Utilize exceptional project management skills to handle complex workloads efficiently.
• Maintain awareness of data privacy and security laws to ensure up-to-date legal advice.
• Demonstrate effective and persuasive writing and oral communication skills.
• Manage a fast-paced, complex workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues.
• Exhibit motivation to learn and understand technology and forensic investigations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience advising on privacy and security obligations, data security incident notification obligations, and defending regulatory investigations.
• Background in a law firm or in-house privacy and cybersecurity breach response experience is desirable.
• Litigation experience with a demonstrated interest in privacy and cybersecurity breach response work.
• Exceptional project management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in cybersecurity or privacy law are a plus.
