The successful candidate will be crucial in handling diverse litigation matters, providing legal counsel, and contributing to the firm's success in resolving complex legal issues.

Duties:

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents (contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, lien-related documents, and settlement agreements) for contract negotiations and litigation proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research, attend client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the guidance of senior attorneys.
  • Take fact and expert depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Analyze case facts and conflicts, develop litigation strategy, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate efficiently with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure effective case management.
  • Maintain up-to-date client files to access other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of strong, relevant, verifiable experience in a similar role.
  • Florida Bar Admission.
  • Judicial clerkship experience or demonstrate strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
  • 5 years of experience in business and construction litigation matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar Admission.

Skills:

  • Proficient in preparing legal documents and conducting legal research.
