Summary:

RSM is seeking a Tax Manager to join their Credits, Incentives and Methods (CIM) group. This individual will be responsible for providing tax consulting and advisory services related to revenue recognition, expense recognition, capitalization, cost recovery, and inventory accounting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, a CPA or JD, and the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities:

- Identifying, managing, and reviewing accounting method projects
- Calculating 481(a) adjustments and providing IRS exam support
- Researching and writing tax advice, opinions, and position memorandums
- Collaborating with RSM Managers, Sr. Managers, and Partners
- Pursuing new business opportunities and building relationships with existing and potential clients
- Mentoring and developing junior team members

Requirements:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (CPA or JD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Salary:

The salary for this position ranges from $95,400 to $207,000, depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and alignment with market data.
