A law firm is seeking a Trademark Associate Attorney for their Washington DC location. The attorney will be responsible for handling various aspects of trademark law, including searching, strategy development, prosecution, and enforcement. Superior writing and communication skills are essential for this role, along with experience in trademark-related proceedings. Fluency in foreign languages is highly desirable.

Duties:

• Conduct trademark searches and analyses
• Develop and implement global trademark strategies
• Handle domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement matters
• Assist with TTAB proceedings, online and social media enforcement, and UDRP proceedings
• Draft legal documents, including trademark applications, oppositions, and cease and desist letters
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on trademark matters
• Conduct legal research on trademark issues

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of trademark experience
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity
• Strong understanding of trademark law and procedures
• Experience with trademark searching and prosecution
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
