PwC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced State & Local Tax Manager to join our Income Franchise practice. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our clients to solve their business issues related to state and local taxes, including business restructuring, adoption of new tax laws, and communicating local tax developments. You will also have the chance to assess client tax burdens and recommend solutions that support their overall business objectives.

As a Manager at PwC, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will have the opportunity to develop new skills outside of your comfort zone and act to resolve any issues that may prevent the team from working effectively. Responsibilities for this role include:

Developing a strategy for clients to manage state and local tax burdens and identify opportunities from legislative and administrative changes
Managing a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes
Upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
Working with large, complex data sets to provide insights to clients
Utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements
Providing a point of view on pricing strategies through knowledge of alternative fee arrangements
Building and maintaining networks of client relationships and community involvement

Basic qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a CPA, and a minimum of 4 years of experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Taxation or Political Science, and experience with FAS 109, unitary filing, apportionment methodologies, tax research, and compliance for multi-state jurisdictions.
