The Department of Health is seeking an entry level attorney for their Prosecution Services Unit. This is a full-time, open competitive opportunity with a salary of $63,000 annually. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work remotely at various investigative field office locations or at the Tallahassee headquarters. Key Responsibilities:

- Review case files, develop legal opinions, and prepare probable cause recommendations including administrative complaints and closing orders.
- Present cases before probable cause panels.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, and legal memoranda.
- Represent the Department before the Division of Administrative Hearings and in circuit court.
- Provide timely and professional representation in all aspects of litigation, including trial preparation, motion practice, discovery, trial presentation, witness examination, and post-hearing pleadings preparation.

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
- Must become a member of the Florida Bar within 12 months of appointment to a position in this class.
