Tax Litigation Attorney The candidate should have 5 years of experience in tax court litigation, with extensive civil tax controversy experience and some time spent in the public sector as a trial lawyer in both federal and state courts. Should preferably have experience in refund litigation matters. Experience with the IRS, Chief of Counsel, the . Attorney’s Office, and/or the DOJ Tax Division is preferred. Must the ability to develop business, which may include a portable book of business with growth potential; the ability to manage files, supervise client contact, and lead cases; the ability to simultaneously juggle multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of responsiveness; exceptional attention to detail; and outstanding customer/client service skills. Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.
