Job Title:

Associate Counsel - Core and Custom Lending Team

Experience Information:

6+ months of Law experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

- Seeking an attorney to join the Legal team supporting the Wealth & Investment Management advisory business.
- Providing legal support for portfolio management and trading function across several legal entities, multiple product lines and distribution channels.
- Focus on securities based lending, investor real estate, and specialized finance including private equity and hedge fund lending and law firm and partner capital lending.
- Position reports to the Managing Counsel of the Core and Custom Lending Team within the Legal Department's WIM division.
- Develop subject matter knowledge and risk assessment skills, and build relationships with internal and external clients.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes and escalate issues as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to address legal and risk issues in the best interest of the company.
- Develop specialization within law while expanding expertise.
- Review issues, policies, or procedures related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
- Receive direction from supervisor and exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to research complex legal issues and provide advice using public and company resources.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Position requires onsite presence at one of the listed locations.
