A law firm is seeking an experienced Antitrust Special Counsel to join its team in Washington, . The successful candidate will play a crucial role in all stages of premerger review, provide counsel on antitrust matters, conduct research and writing, and contribute to antitrust litigation efforts. The position requires a deep understanding of antitrust rules, informal interpretations, and pending amendments, as well as the ability to navigate complex filing determinations under the HSR regime.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in all stages of premerger review, from filing through compliance with second requests.
  • Engage in general antitrust practice, including counseling clients, conducting research and writing, and participating in antitrust litigation.
  • Ensure fluency in antitrust rules, informal interpretations, and pending amendments to filing requirements.
  • Make complex filing determinations under the HSR regime.

Requirements:

  • JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted or eligible for admission to the Bar in Washington, .
  • Minimum of 6 years of HSR merger review experience.
  • Demonstrated professionalism in working with demanding clients.
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in team settings.
