A law firm is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to join its litigation practice in Washington . The successful candidate will support attorneys in various legal tasks related to litigation cases.

Job Overview:

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including legal research, drafting legal documents, and case preparation.
  • Participate in client meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using online databases, libraries, and other resources.
  • Analyze and organize complex legal documents and evidence.
  • Prepare and maintain case files, documents, and exhibits.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.
  • Assist with case strategy development and trial preparation.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel as directed.
  • Attend court proceedings and administrative hearings to observe and assist as needed.
  • Assist with document review, discovery, and deposition preparation.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as file management, scheduling, and document organization.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Washington . Bar or eligibility for admission by examination.
  • Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated interest in litigation.
  • Prior legal experience through internships, externships, or clerkships is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in legal research methods and tools.
  • Knowledge of civil procedure and evidence rules.
