- We are seeking a housing attorney to join our housing advocacy team and help build a more just legal system for low-income individuals in New Jersey.
- This position offers a unique opportunity to combine direct representation with housing policy advocacy.

Responsibilities:
- Provide tenant representation in landlord tenant court and assistance in obtaining rental assistance, primarily for immigrant households.
- Engage in community and client education and outreach activities.
- Work on system reform projects to protect, preserve, and expand housing rights and opportunities for low-income people.
- Utilize multi-pronged strategies, including individual representation, litigation, legislative and administrative policy advocacy, and community education and engagement.

Qualifications:
- Expertise in housing law and policy, landlord tenant issues, eviction defense, fair housing and race equity, and/or litigation and policy advocacy OR significant interest in housing law with a commitment to advocacy on behalf of marginalized communities.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
