Position Summary:

- Seeking a highly experienced and analytical Senior Tax Manager to join the Business Tax Services practice at Deloitte.
- Responsible for identifying effective tax solutions for new and existing clients in various industries.
- Will work directly with clients, have access to a team of specialists, and receive support from firm leadership.
- Will assist in growing and maintaining the largest tax group within Deloitte.

What You'll Do:

- Maintain and develop strong client relationships on various federal tax consulting and compliance engagements.
- Identify client needs and leverage Deloitte's range of services and resources to meet those needs and cross-sell among various lines of service.
- Act as a trusted business advisor to clients on issues such as federal tax planning, accounting for income taxes, FTA, tax provisions, tax compliance, business restructuring, and tax controversy.
- Manage engagement profitability, billings, and team resources.
- Assist with drafting and presenting proposals to new and existing clients.
- Provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance to the engagement team.

- Deloitte Tax LLP's Business Tax Services team is a dynamic group of professionals from diverse backgrounds.
- Provides expertise to clients on integrating tax strategy into their business operations while managing individual risk profiles.
- Subject matter experts and industry specialists offer services and solutions relevant to clients' business.
- Will assist with global tax challenges and transform tax departments for greater impact and efficiency.
- Services range from tax planning and compliance to controversy and risk management, specialized services, and tax management consulting.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Able to perform job responsibilities in a hybrid work model that requires in-person co-location 2-3 days per week.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning, analysis, and research.
- One of the following active accreditations: CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or certified financial accountant/planner.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and client needs.

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM.
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
- Proven ability to grow and manage a book of business and establish a solid reputation as a subject matter expert in federal tax.
- Strong management experience.
- Experience working in a virtual or global environment.
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions.
- Experience with ASC740.
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Salary Information:

- The wage range for this role is $119,490 to $238,680, taking into account various factors such as skills, experience, training, and certifications.
- The range does not include any applicable geographic differentials.
- Compensation decisions are based on individual circumstances and are not typically at the top of the range.
