Attorney/Corporate Counsel - Stephens Insurance

The company is currently seeking an experienced Attorney/Corporate Counsel to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for researching and advising on laws and regulations related to employee benefit plans, reviewing and negotiating contracts, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate, along with 3-7 years of experience in a similar position. An Arkansas bar admission is preferred, but equivalent state bar admissions will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

- Research and advise on laws and regulations related to employee benefit plans
- Review and negotiate contracts
- Respond to employee inquiries on compliance issues
- Assist with RFP responses and review marketing materials
- Create white papers and compliance content for internal team and clients
- Attend and present at sales presentations regarding benefits compliance program
- Coordinate compliance reviews for self-insured plans
- Conduct HIPAA training and assist with HIPAA compliance
- Ensure regulatory compliance and respond to regulatory inquiries
- Coordinate litigation and responses to discovery
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate (.)
- 3-7 years of related experience in a similar position
- Arkansas bar admission preferred, but equivalent state bar admissions will also be considered

- HIPAA Training
- Juris Doctor
