Organization Overview: - Established in 1981 as Volunteer Legal Services Project of Monroe County, Inc. - Mission to improve quality of life for low-income individuals in Monroe County - Provides pro bono attorneys for serious civil matters - Co-located at Telesca Center for Justice with partner agencies - Unique model relies on panel of trained and mentored pro bono attorneys - Programs include Volunteer Legal Services Project, Tenant Defense Project, and Community Development Project Job Summary: JustCause is seeking a full-time, exempt Staff Attorney to join the Tenant Defense Project. The Staff Attorney will provide legal representation to low-income tenants facing eviction or other housing-related issues. The Staff Attorney will also work collaboratively with other members of the Housing and Consumer Unit to provide holistic legal services to clients.
