Job Summary:
JustCause is seeking a full-time, exempt Staff Attorney to join the Tenant Defense Project. The Staff
Attorney will provide legal representation to low-income tenants facing eviction or other housing-related

issues. The Staff Attorney will also work collaboratively with other members of the Housing and Consumer
Unit to provide holistic legal services to clients.

Job Summary:

- Will work collaboratively with other members of Housing and Consumer Unit
- Provides holistic legal services to clients

Key Responsibilities:
- Represent low-income tenants in eviction proceedings and other housing-related legal matters
- Conduct client interviews and maintain accurate case records
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients
- Negotiate with opposing counsel and landlords
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Appear in court and advocate on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with other members of the Housing and Consumer Unit to provide holistic legal services
- Participate in trainings and professional development opportunities
- Comply with grant requirements and reporting
- Other duties as assigned

Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $80,320-$97,520, based on JustCause’s salary scale and 0-6 years of
relevant experience. JustCause also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance,
