H1: Make a Difference as an Attorney with Children's Legal Services
H2: Advocate for Children's Safety, Well-being, and Permanency

The Department of Children and Families is seeking a dedicated and passionate attorney to join their team at Children's Legal Services. This position offers the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of abused, abandoned, and neglected children in Florida.

As an attorney with Children's Legal Services, you will have the primary responsibility for multiple cases and ensure that legal requirements are met to secure permanent and safe homes for dependent children. You will collaborate with investigators and case managers to gather evidence and prepare for trial, using best practice litigation techniques to advocate for children.

To qualify for this position, you must have a Law Degree and be willing to undergo training provided by a dedicated Statewide Training Team. This includes a multi-week onboarding program, quarterly intensive multi-day new attorney training, and an annual advanced litigation academy. The department also covers Florida Bar annual dues and offers a Public Loan Forgiveness Program.

In addition to these benefits, working for the State of Florida also means no state income tax for residents, state group insurance coverage options, and opportunities for growth within Children's Legal Services. The department invites all team members to participate in special projects to create better outcomes for children.
