FCRA Legal Counsel - Provide Legal Support and Guidance for TransUnion's . Operations Business TransUnion is seeking a highly skilled and experienced FCRA Legal Counsel to join their legal team. This role will involve providing legal counsel and support to TransUnion's . Operations business on matters related to legal compliance and strategy. This includes compliance with federal and state consumer protection laws, policy management and training, marketing communications, new product design and development, litigation mitigation, issue management and remediation, regulatory examination legal support, and other related areas. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and a strong background in consumer financial services with a focus on regulatory compliance and/or litigation. Responsibilities: - Work with a small team of regulatory subject matter experts to provide legal assistance and guidance on ongoing legal, regulatory, and business matters for TransUnion. - Provide legal counsel to stakeholders, including TransUnion leadership, on various legal compliance and strategy issues. - Make impactful legal decisions and business recommendations for a dynamic and innovative public company. - Advise internal clients on legal and business issues and their implications. - Keep stakeholders informed about changes in the law, increased regulatory scrutiny, and other legal issues that may impact the company's operations. - Maintain confidentiality of company-related business. Requirements: - Juris Doctorate (JD) degree - 3+ years of relevant experience - 2+ years of experience in consumer financial services with a strong regulatory compliance and/or litigation background - Knowledge and working experience with FCRA, UDAAP - Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Experience with advocacy and making legal decisions - Ability to maintain confidentiality This is a hybrid position, with regular virtual work and a minimum of two days per week in-person at a TransUnion office location.
