A law firm in Washington DC is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Government Strategies and Compliance team. The candidate will work closely with partners and associates to advise . and multinational clients on critical business and immigration issues. Responsibilities include representing clients in corporate immigration enforcement defense, immigration litigation, due diligence, and white-collar criminal immigration matters.

 

Duties:

  • Investigate and litigate various immigration matters for individuals and corporate clients.
  • Draft complaints, discovery, reports, memos, and litigation documents.
  • Manage intake and outreach to plaintiffs.
  • Handle immigration filings and communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals.
  • Conduct in-depth research on immigration law and policy issues.
  • Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
  • Collaborate with investigative analysts and prepare cases.
  • Guide clients through complex immigration strategy challenges.
  • Represent employers in immigration compliance audits and investigations.
  • Prepare comments on agency rulemaking and draft testimony for Congressional hearings.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Member of the State Bar (DC preferred).
  • Legal experience related to complex litigation and enforcement defense.
  • Business immigration experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing research, investigation, or litigation projects.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and legal personnel.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to propose alternative solutions.
  • Proficiency in researching, collecting, and analyzing data.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
