A law firm in Lexington is seeking an Energy Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience for its energy mineral title and division order practice. The ideal candidate will have experience commensurate with time in practice, preferably with general property and/or mineral title experience in the energy sector. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent academic credentials, and the ability to work independently with clients and colleagues are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal support and advice to clients in the energy sector, particularly in mineral title and division order matters.
  • Conduct title examinations and review title opinions.
  • Draft and review various legal documents, including leases, contracts, and agreements.
  • Assist in negotiating and drafting mineral leases, surface use agreements, and other related documents.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams.
  • Research and analyze legal issues related to energy law and mineral rights.
  • Represent clients in hearings, negotiations, and other legal proceedings as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 0-5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on energy, mineral title, or related areas.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience with general property and/or mineral title in the energy sector preferred.
  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
