Position Summary:

- Seeking experienced tax specialist with expertise in federal/tax and partnership tax compliance
- Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and develop proprietary solutions
- Passion for client consultation and improving computational software applications
- Refine skillset by working with large-scaled operating partnership tax clients
- Diversify industry experience by working with various industries including private equity, healthcare, tech, financial products, oil & gas, green energy, real estate, and consumer products
- Deliver value to clients through public offerings and interaction with external counsel, underwriters, executives, and capital market professionals
- Assist clients with public offering transactions and ongoing service periods
- Develop understanding of public monetization transactional process and tax receivable agreements
- Create technology focused on . federal income tax principles for partnership tax, data analytics, and user experience
- Implement strategic tax structures and processes for clients
- Determine and solve complexities with . federal income tax impact of public offerings
- Participate in marketplace activities, recruiting, and process/technology innovation
- Identify service opportunities, manage client accounts, and advance Deloitte initiatives

The Team:

- National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP
- NFTS service offerings are developed and built through tax planning ideas, marketplace drivers, or technological innovations
- Entrepreneurial and work-hard/play-hard mentality
- NFTS provides tax planning for largest organizations across all industries
- Operational Partnership Services (OPS) is a part of the Partnership Solutions Group within NFTS
- OPS professionals counsel privately-held and publicly-traded partnerships on federal tax issues
- Industries served include private equity, real estate, telecom, technology, healthcare, media & entertainment, energy, retail, and financial services
- Opportunity to join a dynamic and diverse team

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid model requiring in-person work 2-3 days per week
- 2+ years of experience in federal partnership tax
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field
- Strong numerical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and Visio
- Experience in fast-paced, team environment
- Demonstrated research skills
- Self-starter with ability to handle multiple priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on clients and industries served
- Licensed CPA in state of practice or willing and able to obtain one of the following: licensed attorney, enrolled agent, Project Management Professional (PMP), or Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as master's in science of tax (MST), JD, or LLM
- Previous experience at Big 4 or large CPA firm
- Transaction and M&A experience
- Experience with Alteryx

Salary Information:

- Wage range for this role takes into account various factors including skill set, experience, training, licensure/certifications, and business/organizational needs
- Range estimate is $77,070 to $175,500
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program
