Director of Business Development, Legal, Compliance, and Risk - Chicago, IL

Key Responsibilities:

Develop new revenue opportunities for BDO’s legal, compliance, and risk services
Build and maintain a strong network of contacts within the legal market, including C-Suite executives and corporate counsel
Collaborate with practice leaders to create and execute business development plans for target markets
Identify and implement key business development activities to drive opportunities and cross-selling
Facilitate monthly meetings with regional and practice leaders to report on business development progress
Negotiate pricing and service delivery with potential clients
Provide feedback to national business development services on processes and tools
Coordinate with BDO Alliance USA and BDO International member firms on initiatives

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required; advanced degree preferred (JD, MBA)
15+ years of business development/marketing experience in a professional services environment required
Prior experience in accounting, financial consulting, business advisory services, or banking preferred
Proven track record of generating C-Suite level relationships
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools
Advanced knowledge in sales processes and strategies
Ability to develop relationships with C-Suite executives and referral sources
Strong business acumen and understanding of BDO's business and value proposition
Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and presentation skills
Willingness to travel up to 50% annually to assigned offices within the region

Salary Information:

California Range: $150,000 - $200,000
Colorado Range: $150,000 - $200,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $150,000 - $200,000
Washington Range: $150,000 - $200,000
