Attorney - In-House/Litigation (Remote) opportunity with FPC Action Foundation, a high-impact 501(c)3 advocacy organization fighting for maximal individual liberty. This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary of $100,000 - 125,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal and historical research for current and potential litigation, strategic planning, etc.
- Coordinate with outside counsel, clients, and stakeholders regarding current and potential litigation
- Assess requests for legal assistance and investigate complaints about rights violations
- Conduct intakes and screen client candidates
- Develop and participate in litigation based on the organization's goals in federal and state courts
- Engage in advocacy work to advance individual liberty and the organization's objectives through non-litigation means
- Actively promote the organization's programs and values through written works, videos, public speaking, and other media
- Supervise volunteers, legal fellows, and support staff
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner
- Perform other duties and manage projects as assigned

Requirements:

- At least 3-5 years of federal trial litigation experience (or comparable)
- Admission to a state bar and in good standing with no past disciplinary actions
- Excellent writing, argument framing, communication, and organization skills
- Crisp, clear, and direct writing ability, reflecting sound legal analysis
- A team player with high integrity and high competence
- Judicial clerkship experience preferred
- Passion for fighting for liberty and limiting the size and scope of government
- Ability to legally acquire and possess firearms, including handguns
- Ability to travel within the United States as required or directed

Preferences:

- Substantive knowledge of American history, constitutional law, civil liberties, and major related precedents
- Experience with 42 . Section 1983 actions, Bivens actions, or Administrative Procedure Act actions
- Experience with remote work in a distributed team across . time zones
