We are currently seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to join our Office of General Counsel and provide legal support for our Litigation group, specifically on the Practice Protection Team. Responsibilities: - Provide legal counsel for civil litigation, third-party subpoenas, and regulatory investigations - Represent KPMG and its professionals in litigation proceedings and provide legal advice to the firm and its leaders - Develop strategies and tactics to successfully and cost-effectively resolve litigation claims and regulatory investigations - Supervise outside counsel and collaborate with other members of the Office of General Counsel - Report to and consult with senior leadership on legal issues - Assist in developing financial projections for cases Qualifications: - Minimum of 18 years of experience in a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal department - JD or LLM from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the US - Experience with complex civil litigations and regulatory investigations involving accounting firms or financial institutions is a plus - Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines with high-quality results - Excellent communication, collaboration, and client-service skills - Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Salary Information: - Salary range of $331,000 - $737,000 for California locations - Competitive benefits package, including medical and dental plans, vision coverage, and 401(k) plans - Personal Time Off and firmwide breaks provided - Further details on benefits can be found on our KPMG US Careers site KPMG is an affirmative action-equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable laws regarding recruitment and hiring.
