Trial Attorney (Chicago) - Work Remotely for Top Insurance Company!

The AmFam Trial Attorney will handle complex litigation cases involving the corporation and its insured within established corporate guidelines and the code of professional responsibility. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to work remotely and coverage areas include Chicago, Naperville, Oak Lawn, Evanston, and Oakbrook Terrace. The compensation for this position ranges from $107,000 to $181,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

Position Responsibilities:

- Represent the corporation and its insured in litigation matters
- Analyze and evaluate cases to determine settlement options
- Conduct discovery, motion practice, and draft necessary pleadings and briefs
- Keep up-to-date on state statutes and court decisions
- Advocate for clients in various forums and circumstances
- Potentially specialize in certain areas of practice
- Litigate in the Chicagoland area

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in insurance litigation
- Knowledge of Illinois rules of Professional Responsibility
- Familiarity with tort, contract, and insurance law
- Illinois Bar admission or eligibility for admission within one year of hiring
- Juris Doctor degree
- Ability to travel within Cook and adjacent counties

This is a remote position, with the expectation of spending 60-70% of the time working from home.
