Job Title: Tax Senior Manager - Banking and Capital Markets Tax (East Region City Locations)

Position Summary:

- Seeking a strategic and creative federal tax professional for the role of Tax Senior Manager in Deloitte's Business Tax Services practice.
- Responsible for solving complex federal tax issues across multiple jurisdictions and countries.
- Provides federal tax compliance and consulting services to large global and dynamic midsize clients across various industries.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain strong client relationships on federal tax consulting and compliance engagements.
- Advise clients on tax issues including accounting for income taxes, tax provisions, tax compliance, business restructuring, and tax controversy.
- Oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects for entities and their affiliates.

The Team:

- Dynamic team with professionals from varying backgrounds.
- Provides expertise to clients to integrate tax strategy into their business operations while considering individual risk profiles.
- Assists with global tax challenges and transforms tax departments for greater impact and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid work model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and client needs.
- 8+ years of experience in preparing and reviewing federal tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- One of the following accreditations: CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP.

Preferred:

- Advanced degree in Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Experience in virtual and/or global environments.
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions.
- Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance to ASC740.
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Salary Information:

- Wage range takes into account various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, and certifications.
- Range estimate does not include geographic differentials.
- Actual salary will depend on individual circumstances.
- Reasonable estimate of current range is $119,490 to $272,090.
