Summary:

Onit, a global company with offices in Austin and Houston, TX, is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Attorney to join their legal team. This role will provide legal support and advice to key business stakeholders on a variety of topics, including commercial transactions, intellectual property, privacy, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate and commercial transactions and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a team of contract specialists and procurement specialist to draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial and technology related transactions.
- Collaborate with various teams within the organization, including Sales, Service, Support, Cloud Ops, Finance/Accounting, InfoSec, Development, and Compliance.
- Provide guidance on legal and compliance matters to executives and business leaders.
- Manage the company's intellectual property portfolio and address open source usage.
- Work with the Information Security Team on cybersecurity and data privacy issues.
- Monitor developments in other areas of law such as corporate, intellectual property, antitrust, privacy, FCPA, and trade compliance.
- Handle customer disputes and litigation, as well as bankruptcy and collection matters.
- Assist the General Counsel with special projects.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate and commercial transactions and regulatory compliance.
- Strong SaaS transactional experience with excellent business judgment and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple transactions and projects under tight deadlines.
- Experience working with a geographically diverse team.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team setting.
- Willingness to travel and work outside of standard business hours if needed.
