Position Summary:

- Seeking an associate to join our Intellectual Property Department with 2-4 years of patent prosecution experience in the electrical or software technologies areas.
- This position is available in multiple locations, including Atlanta, Denver, Minneapolis, and Phoenix.
- The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work primarily on patent prosecution matters, with the potential to also work on patent litigation cases.
- Excellent academic credentials, a technical background in electrical engineering or computer engineering/science, and strong writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Membership in the Georgia, Colorado, Minnesota, or Arizona Bar, and the Patent Bar is preferred.

Requirements:

- 2-4 years of patent prosecution experience in electrical or software technologies areas.
- Technical background in electrical engineering or computer engineering/science.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Strong writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Membership in the Georgia, Colorado, Minnesota, or Arizona Bar, and the Patent Bar is preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Primarily work on patent prosecution matters.
- May also have the opportunity to work on patent litigation cases.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
- Communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
- Attend client meetings and assist with client development efforts.
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff within the firm.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
