Overview:

The Department of Health is seeking a Senior Attorney to join their Prosecution Services Unit (PSU). This is a highly competitive opportunity for an experienced attorney to work independently and as part of a team in prosecuting violations of state law and administrative rules by licensees of healthcare professions regulated by the Division of Medical Quality Assurance. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Attorney in the Prosecution Services Unit, your responsibilities will include:

- Independently reviewing case files, developing legal opinions, and preparing probable cause recommendations.
- Presenting cases before healthcare licensure boards across the state of Florida.
- Representing the Department of Health before the Division of Administrative Hearings and in circuit court.
- Providing timely and professional representation in all aspects of litigation.
- Managing an inventory of cases to ensure timely resolution.
- Responding to public records requests, inquiries from counsel, and other agencies regarding current cases.

Salary and Benefits:

Location:

This position is based in Tallahassee, Florida, but remote assignments are available in investigative field office locations in Pensacola, Alachua, Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Orlando.
