Overview:

The Department of Health is seeking a Senior Attorney to join their Prosecution Services Unit (PSU). This is a highly competitive opportunity for an experienced attorney to work independently and as part of a team in prosecuting violations of state law and administrative rules by licensees of healthcare professions regulated by the Division of Medical Quality Assurance. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to represent the Department of Health in various legal proceedings and make a meaningful impact in protecting the health and well-being of all residents of Florida.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Attorney in the Prosecution Services Unit, your responsibilities will include:

- Independently reviewing case files, developing legal opinions, and preparing probable cause recommendations.
- Presenting cases before healthcare licensure boards across the state of Florida.
- Representing the Department of Health before the Division of Administrative Hearings and in circuit court.
- Providing timely and professional representation in all aspects of litigation.
- Managing an inventory of cases to ensure timely resolution.
- Responding to public records requests, inquiries from counsel, and other agencies regarding current cases.

Qualifications:

Salary and Benefits:
