Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

Provide legal representation to the company and its policyholders in moderately complex civil litigation and workers’ compensation matters involving claims for monetary damages or compensation for personal injuries or property damage of a moderate value.
Research legal issues and communicate opinions to claims representatives and insured clients, providing clear, unambiguous legal opinions and strategies.
Conduct training sessions for Legal, Claims or other departments as needed.
Develop and maintain good relationships with claims representatives and insured clients.
Negotiate settlements as required.
Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings and motions.
Manage the entire legal process, from investigation and discovery through trial prep and court proceedings.
Represent clients in depositions, site inspections, court hearings, trials, etc.
Develop and implement appropriate legal strategies for all stages of litigation.
