Synopsys is seeking a Corporate Counsel with 5-7 years of experience to join their legal team. This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary range of $132,000 - $198,000 and potential for bonuses, equity, and other benefits. The candidate must have excellent business judgment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The role will involve handling commercial contracts and negotiations for the company's sales team, as well as providing legal support for various transactions in North America.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review, draft, and negotiate complex contracts, including software license agreements, SOWs, NDAs, and more
- Attend customer negotiation calls and advocate for the company's position on contract issues
- Analyze and interpret contract provisions and collaborate with business stakeholders
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic team environment
- Possess strong writing, negotiation, and communication skills
- Adhere to high ethical standards and maintain integrity in all interactions
- Work closely with sales and engineering teams to support the company's growth and innovation

Qualifications:

- 5-7 years of legal experience in a software company
- Substantive transactional experience with complex contracts and licensing agreements

- Licensed to practice law in California preferred
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent business judgment and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
