Job Title: Senior Tax Consultant

Experience: 3+ years of tax planning experience or preparing client work papers and income tax returns

Location: Central Region Office Locations

Salary Range: $68,180 - $144,300 (depending on factors such as skills, experience, and certifications)

Job Description:

- Provide tax compliance and consulting services to investment management clients
- Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates
- Perform detail-level reviews of partnership work papers, allocations, and tax returns
- Prepare materials and research for consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities
- Coordinate and communicate with client contacts to gather information for tax returns
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced-level tax staff
- Attend required Deloitte Tax LLP and sector-specific trainings

The Team:

- Comprised of over 2,800 partners, managers, and staff
- Provides a spectrum of assurance and advisory, tax, enterprise risk, regulatory, and consulting services to investment management companies
- Clients include investment advisers and administrators from every sector of the industry

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model
- 3+ years of tax planning experience or preparing client work papers and income tax returns
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Active accreditation such as CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP
- Basic understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and tax compliance process for real estate funds
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions
- Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance to ASC740
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills
