Promote legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the company. - Remain up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect our business and industry. **What You’ll Need For This Role:** - Education: will be considered an asset - 5-7+ years legal practice in corporate commercial law with proven general counseling experience in a business environment. - Prior experience as in-house counsel strongly preferred. - Overall broad legal knowledge (corporate law, litigations, contracts, etc.) Working knowledge in commercial compliance, privacy, licensing, and regulatory matters a plus. - In-depth understanding of how legal issues affect organizations - Ability to develop legal strategy and objectives with a business and solutions-oriented mindset - Well-versed in how businesses operate, baseline financial acumen. - High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas - Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to “see around the corner” - Excellent judgement and analytical skills - Excellent writing skills.
