The Office of the State's Attorney is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Assistant State's Attorney to join our team in the Economic Crimes Unit. This position requires a strong understanding of legal principles and practices, as well as proficiency in using personal computers and legal software. The ideal candidate will have prior prosecution experience, with a focus on complex cases involving economic crimes.

Responsibilities:
- Investigate and handle complex cases, using circumstantial evidence and best business practices to build a strong case against offenders.
- Conduct interviews with victims and witnesses to gather information and assess the extent of financial abuse.
- Research applicable case law and codes to determine appropriate sentence recommendations.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, such as briefs, motions, and subpoenas.
- Coordinate with other city and state agencies to provide support and services to victims and witnesses of financial abuse.
- Participate in community engagement initiatives to raise awareness and prevent financial crimes.
- Perform related work as required.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree and Maryland bar admission required.
- Prior experience with prosecution and jury trials preferred.
- Highly organized and able to work independently.
- Understanding of business accounting practices preferred.

Salary:
Starting at $77,191, with potential for higher compensation based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package included.
