Epiq is currently seeking a highly experienced and driven individual to join our team as the Managing Director for our Corporate Restructuring division in New York. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise, knowledge, and relationships in the bankruptcy and restructuring markets to develop and strengthen our consulting execution, as well as drive sales. This is a part-time position with the potential for growth and advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and implement improvements to consulting processes
- Lead key engagements and develop staff
- Identify and strategically market to key prospects
- Attend client events to develop relationships and gather industry feedback
- Maintain accurate list of prospects and related activities within our management system
- Educate clients and prospects about our corporate restructuring services
- Cross-sell other Epiq service offerings
- Provide personal support for key client relationships
- Schedule and hold meetings with key decision-makers at targeted high-profile accounts
- Identify key trends to proactively pursue new business opportunities
- Partner with key executives to develop integrated business development strategy
- Communicate regularly with segment's leadership team on status of projects and initiatives
- Coordinate with marketing team to construct integrated campaign for securing appointments with key individuals or groups
- Manage a team of business development professionals
- Create a stimulating, goals-driven, and performance-oriented environment
- Maintain quality controls for execution, accuracy, and timeliness of work
- Manage within approved budget
- Promote company culture and values through exemplary leadership and coaching
- Ensure qualitative and quantitative service performance goals and metrics are in place within the business development team
- Drive performance management by recognizing and rewarding stellar performance and effectively managing deficiencies
- Provide guidance and support to other leaders in a consultative and mutually supportive manner

Requirements:

- Existing substantial relationships within the industry that can be leveraged
- Ability to secure and hold high-level business meetings with key individuals such as General Counsel (GC), Assistant General Counsel, partners, MD’s, COO’s, CIO’s, and C-level prospects
- Ability to collaborate internally to coordinate the selection of high-potential prospects
- Strong understanding of bankruptcy and restructuring markets and processes
- Ability to partner with field sales team to transition a prospect into a selling/close discussion
- Track record of effectively managing a team to identify, target, and approach high-potential prospects

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree required; JD, MBA, or other advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 15 years practicing as a bankruptcy attorney, turn-around professional, or business development professional with experience selling to law firms, investment banks, and other financial institutions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Deep general business acumen, sophisticated judgment, and people leadership skills
- Ability to operate successfully in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Polished executive presence with a high level of emotional maturity
- Highly developed communication and management skills
- Ability to articulate value proposition and conduct presentations to professionals in a compelling and persuasive manner

This is a part-time position with the opportunity for travel. The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger or feel, reach with hands or arms, and talk or hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
